Going on 30 years of spinning music, Isaiah Martin combines a driving mix without boundaries of deep house, tech, progressive and remixes. He has the very unique ability to create a hybrid mix of fresh underground sound with influences of classics that only a 30 year record collection can deliver; combined with a distinct aptitude to read any crowd and absolutely rock the house. His trademark style has an inviting quality; never the same twice and always delivering driving, fluid mixes that make it really, really hard to stand still.
Over his long career, Isaiah has played opening sets for Prince, Moby, Aerosmith, Janet Jackson, Sheila E, and Alanis Morisette among others. He has played sets for the official Grammy’s after party, and for eight years he was resident DJ for MTV’s big events, including all of their major award show after parties.
Earning him international acclaim for his trademark DISTRIKT sets at Burning Man since 2008, he considers playing the Sunset slot at one of the best day parties on the planet truly a blessing. Robot Heart, Mayan Warrior, Playa Alchemist and Opulent Temple have also tapped his music skills.
An accomplished club DJ as well, Isaiah is a resident DJ of Sound in Los Angeles and has held big name residencies going all the way back to Spundae and Gods Kitchen. He has headlined or was supporting talent at virtually every major venue in NY, Miami, LA, SF, making up part of over a thousand club dates played worldwide. You can catch him several times upcoming this summer at Heart in Ibiza. Heineken named him resident DJ in 2005 and he is the only artist to play Coachella for 9 years in a row for Heineken.
Isaiah has also garnered major radio industry attention with his show Jet Set Radio which helped launch Evolution on Iheart radio preceding Pete Tong every Friday for 3 years and as a resident of Thump Radio where for 6 years he could be heard on KBIG 104.3, Los Angeles’s largest radio station. For years, it was the highest rated mix show in it's category on FM in LA.
His consistently evolving sound and seamless transitions keeps audiences on their toes, shakin’ what they got, and always anticipating high vibrations. Without a doubt, he is innovative, driving and undeniably rocks a dance floor.
